OUR MINISTRIES

This ministry is made up of RN's and other professional healthcare workers who are members of the church. They are assisted by other volunteers. The main function of this group is to provide initial emergency healthcare for members who may fall ill during service. They also provide information on health screenings and related concerns throughout the year.

Hospitality Committee
The purpose of the Hospitality Committee is to show direct love and concern on behalf of the church body through visiting hospitalized and home-based sick members. We show our love for the members by sending floral arrangements and fruit baskets. The committee also sponsors the Annual Pastor's Appreciation Banquet and the Annual Graduate/Teen Banquet.

Rebuilders' Ministry
The Rebuilders serve the Lord through ministering to married, separated and divorced members of ABBC (and any guests), with the Word of God and through various fellowship activities. Their purpose is to glorify God in their married, separated and divorced conditions, trusting the Lord to work in and through them so that He may be glorified.

Singles' Ministry
The Singles' Ministry caters to unmarried members of the congregation and visitors. Their purpose is to glorify God in their unmarried state. The group welcomes members from 18 on up. The committee sponsors get togethers, seminars and other outreaches.

Social Consciousness Committee
The purpose of the Social Consciousness Committee is to keep the congregation aware and up-to-date on issues going on in the society; from upcoming legislative initiatives to community awareness. This information is disseminated through special announcements, through handouts and through flyers placed in various locations around the church.

Soul Winning
Every Saturday morning, members of the church meet and pray and then divide into groups and go out and minister the gospel to various neighborhoods throughout the city. This opportunity is open to any member.

Tape Ministry
The Tape Ministry is responsible for taping all church services and making them available to members at a nominal charge.

Ushers
The Ushers greet members and visitors each Sunday and Wednesday and assist them throughout the service with any needs. Additionally, the ushers are responsible for patroling the grounds during services to make sure everything is in order.

Women's Prison Ministry
The Women's Prison Ministry visits the Fulton County Jail every second Sunday at 1:00 p.m. Our goal is to share the word with each inmate, to pray for them, that they receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and pray that they will be united with a Bible-believing, Bible-teaching church whenever they are released from prison. We also seek to follow up with them as much as possible.

Youth Ministry
This ministry caters to the teenagers of the church. Each Sunday evening, the group meets and discusses issues that teens are faced with on a daily basis. Additionally, the Ministry plans and promotes outings for the teens. Examples of outings are Atlanta Braves baseball games, Six Flags, bowling excursions and retreats. In an effort to prepare the youth for Christian service in the church, the Youth Ministry also leads all facets of the service each fifth Sunday during the year.
